Bio
AYUNi D started her carrier as a member of the idol-group BiSH after joining it in summer of 2016. She was not very interested in idols or music in general before, but one day her older sister, who was BiSH fan, told her about auditions and AYUNi decided to participate.
She didn’t think she will be able to pass these auditions, didn’t made make up and sang Neighobour Totoro opening theme (she said in one episode of the radio show ATTACK OF THE KiLLER BiSH that she was told to sing it). In available footage from those auditions she looks rather clumsy and perplexed, though the BiSH’ producer Junnosuke Watanabe thinks she was the cutest one during that event.
When she was presented to the public for the first time in 2016, it was one picture and AYUNi D was with black eyes in it. So nobody knew how she exactly looked before her debut on the stage.
The first performance AYUNi D participated in was the BiSH’ concert called TOKYO BiSH SHiNE repetition, which took place on August 8, 2016. She went on stage during the encore and performed with other members 4 songs: Spark (スパーク), MONSTERS, OTNK and BiSH -Hoshi ga Matataku Yoru ni- (BiSH -星が瞬く夜に-). After the end of the performance AYUNi D stayed on the stage for a bit longer than other members and said “Thank you” to the audience. It was met with cheers. From this scene starts BiSH music video Nothing.
The girl became very popular among BiSH fans thanks to her unique grim and sulky personality and cute look.
In 2018 AYUNi D started her solo project PEDRO. It is going as a side-project since then. She is still an active member of BiSH.
AYUNi D Solo Project “PEDRO”
AYUNi D started her solo project – rock-band PEDRO – in 2018. Or maybe it would better say, she was made to start it: as can be seen in the video published right after the announcement of the new project, the initiative came from BiSH producer Junnosuke Watanabe, not from AYUNi D herself.
Despite of such a start the band PEDRO became an important part of AYUNi D life. As she said in interviews, after starting PEDRO activities she felt her personality changed in a good way – she became more open, more interested in other people and she got deeper connection with music.
AYUNi D never played instruments before, but for PEDRO learnt to play bass guitar.
The guitarist of PEDRO is Hisako Tabuchi, who is the guitarist of legendary Japanese band NUMBER GIRL.
PEDRO named in honor of a character from the movie “Napoleon Dynamite”. AYUNi D loves this film (and cinema in general).
